Kennedy got the voicemail about five minutes after it came in, and was more than happy to set aside her stupid Watcher-assigned essay to call back.

"So, I take it you guys are having a blast on the trip?"

"Kennedy! Birthday girl! We are!" Dinah grinned and a couple people behind her called, "HI KENNEDY! Which Kennedy...?"

"We made it to a couple TV filming sets this week, and Vegas was awesome! How about you guys, anything invade in the last couple days?"

Somewhere in the background, a faint chorus echoing the birthday song could be heard, along with 'Come on, come on, two more pages, you can do it!'

"Nothing except flowers," Kennedy told her with a slight, amused eyeroll at the people in the background on Dinah's end; she'd gotten that question before. "They're freaking everywhere today, and they keep talking, and singing, and all kinds of crap."

"That's what I thought," Kennedy replied as the jasmine blossoms draped down over her window burst out into a chorus of Get back to work! "Until they started getting mouthy. As mouthy as mouthless plants can get."

You could tell it was a boys' night out when phone calls started to circulate like this one.

"Kennedy? Kennedy, you are going to be so sorry you missed this one. I mean, not just because I'm trying to get Bobby to dance on the bar with me even though Tony said that his chest was top secret. Though I guess it kind of is. I still think it looks like a slip-and-slide."

There was a long pause, punctuated by a thud, and then scrambling to pick up the phone again.

"-- Vodka! I don't even like Vod-"
