brat_inslayageBetween nightly patrolling, tracking down new Slayers, and carrying a full course load there wasn't a whole lot of time left in the schedule to squeeze in some shut-eye during the semester, so Kennedy had learned to value sleeping in on the days when she could. On vacation, for example, except the slight problem with this was how they lived in another country now and there was a whole thing about how people might want to see them.
Not that this mattered to the lump currently snoring under the blankets in Kennedy's bedroom suite, but it would in about a second when Willow started to tug said blankets away. "Kennedy, wake up."
"Mmmph," Kennedy protested, frowning at the sudden absence of warm covers. "Don't wanna. Sleep good."
Willow sighed and gave the covers another tug. "It's afternoon, Ken," she persisted, "and your family might want to do something wacky like, oh, actually see you before we have to leave?"
Kennedy finally cracked one eye open and peered up at her. "One more hour," she wheedled, throwing in an adorable puppy-eyed pout for good measure.
Fact: resolve-face beats please-see-I'm-cute-face like paper beats rock. "What if the world decides to try and end in the next hour?" Willow asked, apparently trying to appeal to Kennedy's Slayerly sense of duty.
"Pssht, it's totally the wrong time of year for that, duh," Kennedy grumbled, but at least she'd opened both eyes. Progress!
"Fine. If you don't get up and make it snappy, I'm letting your sister, who by the way got into the Christmas candy, come in and jump on the bed... if I don't get lost trying to find her, but let's just assume I won't."
...and oh, look, Kennedy was not only up, she was digging up clothes and heading for the bathroom. "Not fair. So not fair."
[[yeah, i dunno, i really just wanted to make a stupid apocalypse joke. it took way too much effort.
